Fight the June gloom with a night of poetry featuring Gerald Locklin, Linda Lerner (From NYC), & Clint Margrave.
Gerald Locklin is now a Professor Emeritus of English at California State University, Long Beach, where he taught from 1965 through 2007 and still teaches an occasional class. He is the author of over 150 books, chapbooks, and broadsides of poetry, fiction, and criticism, with over four thousand poems, stories, articles, reviews and interviews in periodicals. His most recent volumes include Poets and Pleasure Seekers: New and Selected Poems, 2010-2015 (Spout Hill Press), This Marriage of Man the Maker and Mother Nature: Volume Two of The Complete Coagula Art Poems, 2014, Coagula Publications, a new edition of The Case of the Missing Blue Volkswagen with two sequels, Come Back, Bear and Last Tango in Long Beach (Spout Hill Press) and Deep Meanings: Poems 2008—2013 (Presa Press).
Linda Lerner’s latest collection, Yes, the Ducks Were Real, was published by NYQ Books (Feb. 2015) as was her previous full length collection, Takes Guts and Years Sometimes (2011). She’s been nominated twice for a Pushcart Prize. In 1995 she and Andrew Gettler began Poets on the Line, (http://www.echony.com/~poets) the first poetry anthology on the Net for which she received two grants. Clint Margrave is the author of The Early Death of Men, a collection of poems published by NYQ Books. His work has also appeared in The New York Quarterly, Rattle, Cimarron Review, Verse Daily, Nerve Cowboy, and Ambit (UK), among others. A new full-length collection of poems, Salute the Wreckage, is forthcoming from NYQ Books.
