Where's Pops?

WHERE'S POPS?
Book Launch Party
Meet Author Max Evans

Friday July 24th @ 7pm

A graduate of CSULB's MFA program, Max Evans is the quintessential Long Beach writer: born here, raised here, gonna die here. But in the meantime, he has published the first collection of short fiction that focuses exclusively on fathers--the good ones, the bad ones, and the rest in-between. But regardless of where the male characters in Where's Pops? land on the spectrum of fatherhood, they each face relatable challenges such as financial pressures, relationship tests, and cooking dinner on time.

"Where's Pops?" is a short story collection about Dads-the good, the bad, and the rest in-between. Regardless of where these men land on the spectrum of fatherhood, they each face challenges that every parent can relate to-relationship tests, financial hardships, and cooking dinner on time. Max Evans is currently donating proceeds to the Most Valuable Pops Award, a scholarship fund he created for a deserving father at Compton College where he teaches.
